NetSuite’s authentication features have dramatically evolved over the years. From its first SSO offering called “Inbound SSO”, some other authentication alternatives were released. SAML SSO was introduced in 2013.1 Release. TBA was rolled out last 2015.2 Release. Both of these alternative authentication methods are widely being used today.

I thought I’d compile a list of the differences among these NetSuite authentication methods. Whether you’re aiming to know if SSO works in your ODBC login or SAML SSO work in a mobile application, you can use this as your guide when deciding to choose the right path in terms of authentication.
